Our Evidence-Based Assessment
What to Expect from our ADHD Assessment

STEP 1: Standardised Measures
An assessment will involve completing standardised and valudated pre-assessment questionnaires.
STEP 2: Assessment Appointment
A clinician will meet directly with you for an in-depth assessment, considering current strengths and difficulties as well as impact on your daily life and functioning. This may include the QB Check, an evidence-based computer-based assessment that objectively measures the core symptoms of ADHD.
STEP 3: Developmental History
A clinician will take a detailed developmental history, which can be with a parent/carer or someone who knew you well when you were a child. If this is not possible, we will complete a developmental history with you directly, and/or speak with a friend, or relative.
STEP 4: Medical History
A clinician will request any previous assessments, reports or information from prior clinicians. This may be previously psychiatric, neurological or physical health reports. The clinician will discuss what reports may be useful with you to ensure we have the information needed to guide the assessment.
STEP 5: Report & Feedback
After the assessment you will be offered a feedback session to discuss the findings and answer any questions you may have. You will be provided with a detailed report with individualised recommendations and resources. This will include signposting to services and information sources.

Please note, we do not offer a medication or prescribing service.

Whilst we guarantee that our assessments are above the standard of NHS ADHD and autism assessment, due to differing NHS service policies regarding private sector assessments, we are unable to guarantee acceptance of our diagnoses with individual NHS services. In the rare occasion where this may happen, we will liaise with the service on your request.
Alongside assessments, we offer psychological support. Our approach is neuroaffirmative, collaborative, and formulation-led, focusing on understanding how ADHD affects each individual’s life. Support may include:
-
Psychoeducation about ADHD and formulation to supporting identity and self-understanding
-
Strategies for organisation and time management
-
Support with task initiation and procrastination
-
Emotional regulation support
-
Reducing overwhelm and burnout
-
Supporting self-esteem and identity
-
