PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Our psychological assessments of children and adolescents provide a structured and evidence-based approach to understanding your child's mental health, emotional or behavioural difficulties. Conducted in a confidential and compassionate environment, these assessments help identify areas of challenge, clarify symptoms, and inform personalised support.
What the Assessment Involves
Prior to the assessment you may be asked to complete standardised and validated questionnaire measures, which are used to inform the assessment.
An assessment is completed across two sessions, and include some time spent together with parents/carers and time spent with your child on their own if they feel comfortable to. All of our Psychologists are trained specifically to work with children and adolescents, and are experienced in ensuring your child feels comfortable, safe and able to open up. Depending on your childs age and interests, this may involve talking, drawing or the use of games or toys.
Shared Understanding and Summary Report
Following an assessment, you will receive a clear summary report, that outlines the findings of the assessment, and provides recommendations, resources and an evidence-based therapeutic plan.
Psychological Assessment and Evidence-based Therapies are available in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire or online.
